October 9th - 18th : Children´s Literature Festival together with the cultural office and the public library of Freiburg presented Iranian writer and artists from Esfahan and Tehran. Under the motto "Persia and the orient", F.Tabrisi from Freiburg and A. Aghili, an art student from Esfahan, held workshops in miniature painting about oriental fairy tales for children

October 23rd : Concert of The music group „Zaryab" from Esfahan in Freiburg Goethe-Institut

November 2006: Workshop with four parts about the traditional handicraft of cloth printing in Esfahan led by Ayeh and Alieh Aghili from Esfahan and a workshop about Iranian calligraphy hold by F. Tabrisi from Freiburg together with the museum association of Freiburg
November 2006: Film festival "Beyond Cannes: The other Iranian Cinema" in the cinema "Kommunales Kino" in Freiburg from November 4th – December 3rd. A special Esfahan day dedicated to old movies of Esfahan was held on November 8th with information desk on the Friendship association "Freundeskreises Freiburg-Isfahan e.V"

March 20th : Cultural evening about Esfahan with the Esfahan music group "Bamdad" and the German travel writer Bruni Prasske in the Bürgerhaus Seepark in Freiburg
March 21st: Celebration of the Iranian New Year "Norooz" with music program prepared by the Esfahan music group „Bamdad“ in the Gerichtslaube in Freiburg
April 2007: Eleventh journey of citizens from Freiburg to Esfahan from April 4th – April 14th
June 2007: Meeting of the sister cities of Freiburg on the "Rathausplatz" in front of the Freiburg town hall with information desk on the Friendship association "Freundeskreises Freiburg-Isfahan e.V." and two female artists and a crafts man from Esfahan from June 14th - June 16th. The artists held workshops on calligraphy and art with natural materials in Arabia Institut in Freiburg on June 16th.

June 15th : Closing ceremony of the exhibition "…. and shining like the sun", Islamic ceramic collection of the "Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe", with Esfahan ceramic artists in the Ceramic museum in Staufen
June 17th: Workshop on ancient ceramics with Esfahan ceramists in the ceramic studio "Keramikwerkstatt Freiburg"
June 2008: Lectures and Workshop by Ceramic artists from Esfahan in the "Institut für Vorderasiatische Archäologie" in the Orient Seminar of the University Freiburg on June 17th and 18th
July 2008: First journey of citizens from Esfahan with extensive cultural program from July 16th until July 30th in Freiburg with a workshop about German culture, lots of sightseeing and trips to Paris, Weimar and Berlin
October 2008: Fourteenth journey of citizens from Freiburg to Esfahan from October 22nd - October 31st
March 20th: Celebration of the Iranian New Year "Norooz" with inauguration of the photo exhibition "Impressions of Esfahan" with the Esfahan photographer Alireza Hosseinzadeh, in the exhibition space in "Schwarzwaldcity" in Freiburg. The photo exhibition was opened until April 4th.
April 2009: Fifteenth journey of citizens from Freiburg to Esfahan from April 8th – April 18th
April/ May 2009: Third journey with coach from Freiburg to Esfahan via Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Turkey to Iran with "Avanti Busreisen". This journey continued the tour after their stay of 5 days in Esfahan to Peking/China.
June 2009: Meeting of the sister cities of Freiburg on the "Rathausplatz" in front of the Freiburg town hall with information desk on the Friendship association "Freundeskreises Freiburg-Isfahan e.V." and an enamel artist for "minakari" from Esfahan and an Iranian santur musician from June 18th –June 20th
